This blog is a sampler of books written by St. Paul’s School alumni. Each entry includes biographical information, a summary of the book, and notes on its reception. The earliest work is from 1886 and the most recent is from 2009.
Current St. Paul’s student Tom Owen ’11 designed and wrote the series. Throughout the summer of 2009, Tom worked as an “extern” for DailyLit, a website that serializes books into small segments and emails them to subscribers. Each extern was asked to compile their own series for the website, and Tom regularly updated this blog with his progress. Readers can subscribe to the SPS Books series from DailyLit at http://dailylit.com/books/st-pauls-school-books.
Some entries are adapted from Wikipedia under fair use, but most biographical notes and summaries are original compositions.
The editor hopes that this series can be a resource for anybody interested in learning more about the people and history of St. Paul’s School.
